Why a scholarship fund?

This scholarship is in loving memory of my cousin, big sister, second mother, and everything in between—Rachel Jane Pilara, or “Rae Rae.” Rachel touched so many lives with her love, joy, and laughter. She always had unwavering support for me. Though she is no longer with us physically, I know she’s still rooting for me as I move forward in this next chapter.

The Rachel Jane Therapy Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting women who face challenges with mental health, substance use, and other co-occurring struggles. I want to offer the opportunity for those who need it most to receive quality therapy services, especially when finances might be a barrier.
